QUESTION :) How do you create a 'gift certificate' for Etsy?

I noticed that some of you donated 'gift certificates' for prizes for the challenge...
would somebody please let me know how you create one...

Hi Dee,

We just termed it as a gift certificate. In actual fact, the winner will have a credit value for her or him to make a purchase from the sponsor shop. As the sponsor will know who is the winner and hence, will not expect to receive any payment from the winner. :)

OK...and let's say it's a $10.00 GC...

if their purchase is over $10.00, I'm assuming the winner pays the difference?
And if their purchase is LESS than $10.00??? then what? :)

Sorry to be a bug...just trying to figure out how to do that :)

Hi Dee,

Yes, if the purchase is over $10, the winner will pay the difference. Usually, we provide free shipping for the gift certificate.

If the purchase is less then $10, you do not need to refund to extras to the winner.
